Ceri Evans (Sunship) joins PRL for his global Performer Rights admin!

West Londoner Ceri Evans started Sunship in 1991.

His Musical path began as part of Manchester band The Swamp Children in 1980, on the legendary Factory record label. Ceri moved back to West London to focus on his musical obsessions-This began as a writer and performer in The Brand New Heavies, where his passion to produce began.

Starting out on the Acid Jazz label, Ceri progressed to Dorado/Filter records, where he began to make his mark, steadily building up productions and remixes under his own name Sunship, and for others.

After MOBO and Dancestar Awards wins, Sunship went on to establish himself with underground anthems such as Try Me Out and Cheque One Two.

Then came the defining moment in Y2K, with what is considered to be one of the biggest Club Classics of all time, the Sunship Remix of Sweet Female Attitude’s ‘Flowers’, which hit No2 in the UK National charts. Ceri followed this up with another No2 UK National Chart hit with his production of Misteeq’s ‘All I Want’. Many more Club and Radio hits followed, such as ‘Garage Girls’, ‘Sweet About Me’ and ‘Almighty Father’.

Ceri has always been musically active throughout his career, and still writes and produces a prolific amount of multi-genre music.
